Who We Are

ME.jpg

After managing a women's fitness center for 7 years and spending 5 years teaching exercise, nutrition education, and Tai Chi classes to older adults, I decided it was time to fulfill my dream of owning my own fitness center for women. My passion to support and assist women in achieving their weight loss and fitness goals is a deep-rooted desire due to my personal battle with obesity and chronic health problems. I would love to share my story with you and show you how proper nutrition and physical activity can improve your quality of life. We are all a work in progress, but together we can achieve our goals and live longer, healthier, and more abundant lives.

Kari Campbell
Zumba, STEP, and HIIT Instructor

Kari started attending Zumba classes in 2014 and absolutely loved it from the start, especially the beat of the music and the feeling of pushing yourself to your personal best. She taught classes for over 2 years before becoming an instructor at AHFW and says her favorite part is feeling the energy of the group she's teaching because they push her to continually better herself. Kari says, "it's just a fun way to spend an hour!"

Rita Agenstein
Certified Zumba Gold Instructor

After attending Zumba classes at the YMCA for several years, Rita obtained her Zumba Gold Instructor certification in August 2020. Zumba Gold is a lower impact dance class ideal for older ladies or for those just starting an exercise program. Rita learned to dance at an early age by standing on her dad's shoes and has always loved music. Rita said, "my family loved to move the furniture out of the way to make room to dance!" Rita's goal is to keep herself fit while helping others remain active and enjoy the fun of moving to music.

Colleen Nichols
Circuit Coach

Colleen started out as a member of AHFW in August 2021 and 100 pounds heavier than she is in her picture. Her hard work and determination to become healthier and fitter has paid off! She is a perfect example of what a healthy diet and consistent exercise can do for a body and a great motivator to our members, which is what makes her a perfect addition to our team. When she's not working out, she's teaching high school art classes (her full-time gig), making art, or thinking about making art.

Amber Guldenpfennig
TONE Instructor

Amber started exercising at 3 years old when she would "help" her mom work out to Richard Simmons. She has been dancing ever since! Now, she loves to mix those dance moves with weight training in the TONE (Zclass at AHFW. She loves teaching and is often found putting together wild activities in her 4th grade classroom for her students. Amber plans to keep moving and grooving and is ready to encourage everyone to join her on this journey to better health and fitness.
