Service Description

Mosaic Arthritis Community Services is sponsoring a Chronic Pain Self-Management Program for adults of all ages who suffer with chronic pain as a result of chronic conditions (e.g. arthritis, diabetes, fibromyalgia), autoimmune disorders (e.g. lupus), past injuries, and other reasons. This FREE and highly interactive six-week workshop will be offered at AHFW beginning on Thursday, February 24th from 1-3pm and is open to anyone (men included) who would like to better manage their symptoms and improve their daily lives. The workshop provides information and teaches practical skills needed to give chronic pain sufferers the confidence and motivation they need to manage the challenges of living with chronic pain. Some of the topics covered are techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, isolation and poor sleep, appropriate exercise, effective communication, nutrition and pacing activity, and rest.
